10th Annual Business and Community Expo

The Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce (MPCC), in partnership with On Purpose Adventures, is this year taking its annual Business and Community Expo virtual. The "largest networking event in Mount Pleasant" will be a ten day virtual experience, that will allow participants to engage with vendors from anywhere in the world. The Expo will run from September 21st through September 30th, which will allow participants to attend at their convenience. Mobile COVID-19 Testing

Dorchester County and MUSC Health have partnered to offer mobile COVID-19 testing at Gahagan Park (184 West Boundary Street, between Lincolnville Road and Gahagan Road) in Summerville. Drive-thru testing will be available (weather permitting) every Tuesday and Thursday, 8 am to noon, beginning Tuesday, August 4th through Tuesday, September 29th. Landscape Walk – The Search for Slave Houses at Drayton Hall

10th Annual Business and Community Expo

COVID-19 Testing

Charleston County Government and Fetter Health Care Network will continue to offer a fixed COVID-19 testing site at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center, located at 5001 Coliseum Drive, North Charleston. The site will offer drive-thru and walk-up testing options and there will be no prescreening for this testing location. Citizens are asked to wear face coverings, practice safe social distancing, and use the Montague Avenue entrance for testing.   Testing will occur on the following dates: Tuesday, September 1: 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, September 8:  4 p.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 15: 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, September 26: 7 a.m.-12 p.m. Tuesday, September 29: 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Currently, all insurance providers in South Carolina are covering the cost of COVID-19 testing. Patient insurance information will be processed, in order to complete testing. No co-pays or deductibles are being charged. All patients will be served regardless of their ability to pay. Charleston Farmers Market: Charleston "Essentials" Market

The Charleston Farmers Market will return to Marion Square with a scaled-back event beginning on September 26th, this according to a recent article in the Post & Courier. The "essentials only" version of the market has been held each Wednesday in a Joseph P. Riley Jr. Stadium parking lot, but will return to its normal home next Saturday. The relocated event will still be an essentials-only market, but the larger space will allow for more farmers and growers to participate. 10th Annual Business and Community Expo
