List publishing template

Use when

  • You want to display the event notes on the calendar.
  • You host either events in a variety of locations or a variety of event types in one or more locations.
  • You want to group events within a specific time period by date, type, location, or start time.
  • You want to control which fields display in the calendar and the order in which they appear.

Don't use when

  • You want to show a lot of events in a compact list.
  • You want all occurrences of each event to appear under one event description.
  • Your calendar visitors would be disconcerted by anything besides a traditional calendar view.

Description

Events appear in a detailed list. You specify a range of events to display on one page and how to group the events within each page. You can choose to display or hide event notes or location and set a character limit for the notes and location fields.

Example

The following calendar lists a variety of community relations events.

Points to notice about the example:

  • The event notes provide important details and links to more information.
  • This example pages events by month and groups them by day.
