Classic time period publishing templates

The Classic time period templates include Classic Multi-Week, Classic Month, Classic Week, Classic Multi-Day, and Classic Day.

Use when

  • You're publishing for a broad audience and want to use a traditional calendar format people are comfortable with.
  • You want to publish a calendar that displays a non-standard number of days (such as 3 days or 4 days).

    Choose the Classic Multi-Day template.

  • The notes don't have to display with the events.

Tip With the Classic Week template, you can choose to display (or hide) notes and location on the published calendar. You can also control the maximum length of the notes and location fields.

Don't use when

  • You want to group events that have something, like a location, in common.
  • You want events notes to display.

Note You can display event notes in Classic Week view.

Description Events are displayed in traditional Multi-Week, Month, Week, Multi-Day, or Day calendar format. When you publish, you can choose to display all events, all future events, or only events for a specific date range. With the Classic Multi-Day template, you can choose how many days to display.

Example The Allstar Fitness Club's class schedule.

Points to notice about the example:

  • This is a classic month view.
  • Visitors move between months by clicking the month navigation arrows at the top of the calendar.
  • To see event details, visitors can click the event description.
  • Each category of events is a different color. Visitors can choose which categories to display by selecting categories in the Mixed-In Calendars list on the left.
