Help for Remind Me By Email and Remind Me By Txt Msg

In the Event Actions window where you clicked Help, the events that you selected in the website calendar appear at the top. If you selected more than one event, you probably have to scroll to see them all.

In the bottom half of the window, you see a request for information.

Tip If, instead of a request for information, you see a red error message that says it is past the deadline to set a reminder for the event, you mistakenly selected an event that occurred in the past. Close this window and try selecting another event on the website calendar.

To set a reminder

  1. Type and, if you're setting up a text message reminder, select the requested information and then click Set Reminder.
  2. You see confirmation that the reminder will be sent. Click Close Window to close the Event Actions window and return to the website calendar. Or, from the menu on the left, choose another action you want to take with the events.

If you see something besides a confirmation message or have questions, click the type of reminder you're setting up below.

Email reminder

Instead of a seeing confirmation message, I got an error message that my email address doesn't look valid.

To set up and receive an email reminder, your email address must conform to the standard Internet (SMTP) name@domain format.

Cell phone text message reminder

I got an error message that the phone number doesn't look valid

When you type your phone number, do not include national or international prefixes or country codes. You may but are not required to include spaces, dashes, and parentheses.

What if my cell phone carrier isn't listed?

  • In the menu on the left of the Event Actions window, click Remind me by email to set up an email message reminder.
  • Please let us know what carrier you use by sending an email message to support@corp.trumba.com. We'll look into adding support for it.

I set up a text message reminder but I never received it.

You might want to confirm that you can receive text messages at your cell phone number. You can do this by sending a simple email message to the cell phone text message email address appropriate for your cell phone carrier.

For example, the email address for T-Mobile is 10DigitPhoneNumber@tmomail.net; the email address for Verizon is 10DigitPhoneNumber@vtext.com. To send the email message, you replace 10DigitPhoneNumber with your own cell phone number.

If you don't receive the simple message you send, contact your carrier to confirm that your cell phone is set up to receive text messages.
