Runs daily through Nov. 20. This seasonal walk route includes the JFK Museum, the Cape Cod Melody Tent and the Kennedy Family Compound. The walk route passes through Veterans Park, home of the JFK and Korean War Memorials and overlooks Hyannis Harbor. Ask for the walk box at the Heritage House Motel front desk. The walk route is 10Km (6.2 miles). The trail is rated easy, suitable for strollers but not for wheelchairs. Leashed pets are welcome but clean-up laws apply. This walk is sponsored by the Walk'n Mass Volkssport club.

Nature Activities
Wellfleet Bay’s 1,100 acres of salt marsh, sandy beach, pine woodland, freshwater pond, and rare heathland attract a wide array of wildlife, especially songbirds and shorebirds. Discover the true nature of Cape Cod as you amble along the five miles of trails that traverse these habitats.
The scenic trails are complemented by the Nature Center’s green architecture, our friendly volunteers, and a beautiful butterfly and hummingbird garden.
A variety of educational programs for children and adults, including walks, workshops, and cruises, are offered both on the sanctuary and at other pristine locations on Cape Cod. the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum will offer a walking tour of historic sights in Provincetown. The Wednesday tour is co-sponsored with the Cape Cod National Seashore. The first tour will take place on July 7 the last tour will be on August 27, 2010.
This year participants will be treated to something new: a walking tour and a Museum too! The $10.00 fee for the walking tour includes admission to the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown

The tour lasts about 1 1/2 hours and includes a variety of sites. While gazing at the spectacular view from the base of the Pilgrim Monument, the tour begins with an overview of Provincetown history that will appeal to all your senses. Museum Opening Maritime Art Exhibit

The only fully furnished Sea Captain’s home open to the public on Cape Cod provides an intimate glance into mid 1800s family life in eight rooms. The parlors are arranged as if the captain was just returning from his voyage to China, likely 16 to 18 months duration. His gentleman’s study waits for him. His gifts of silk fabric, toys, porcelain, lacquered pieces and tea are displayed as well as maritime exhibits and costumes from the period. On exhibition from June 17 – July 18 the maritime paintings of nationally recognized artist Kenneth M. Evans will be on display. Docents from the Historical Society of Old Yarmouth lead continuous guided tours of the museum and relate lively stories of Yarmouth captains’ hair-raising adventures at sea. An 18th century cellar kitchen features an extensive collection of early cooking, lighting and household items.

Sculptor/Professor Eric Lintala Gives Rock Art Lecture
Long before people developed a written language, they learned how to communicate or record through pictures. Sheltered in caves or under vast cliffs, these im- ages of human kind, animals, and nature were inscribed, pecked and painted onto stone.
UMass Dartmouth Professor Eric Lintala has traveled extensively throughout the United States recording and researching pre-historic Rock Art, petroglyphs and pictographs, which has had a profound influence on his work. Concentrating his research in the southwest, he made a major discovery in 1994 of a rock art panel not yet recorded, located in Salt Creek Canyon, south central Utah. Lintala will talk about his im- portant discovery and the process by which this rock art inspires his work at 483 Main Street in the gar- den of the Narrowland Gallery this Friday, July 30th at 8:00pm.
