KIRKIN’ O’ THE TARTAN
The Scottish Society of Central California presents its annual Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan. This is a century-old traditional ceremony that honors Scottish heritage. Each clan is called forward to place their tartan on the altar rail for the blessing of the tartans. The blessings praise the faith and fortitude of the clan fathers, and honor the noble tradition that Scots proudly share. Following the service, everyone is invited to enjoy a variety of light refreshments.

The Scottish Society of Central California in cooperation with the Central California Blood Center is sponsoring its annual week long blood drive in memory of Don Reid, Sr. a long time Society Member and Past Chief.

ID, work badge (with full name and photo), passport, or student body card). The Society is giving a complimentary ticket to the first one hundred (100) people donating blood in the name of the Society's Reid Blood Drive for the 31st Annual Fresno Highland Gathering and Games 13 September at Roeding Park, Fresno, CA 93728. Blood collected will be available for general public use.
