Power Paws Assistance Dogs is providing a Summer Workshop for teens ages 13 through 17 at their facility in Scottsdale. The program runs from May 31, 2010 through August 5, 2010, Mondays through Thursdays, 9 am – 2pm and is provided in 2 week sessions. The Workshops will be held at 1205 N. 85th Place, Scottsdale, AZ 85257. Classes are limited to 10 students per session.
“We’ll work with assistance dogs in training, in a fast paced, interactive class that will give students the basics needed to train assistance dogs and diabetic alert dogs. We’ll even be teaching the dogs to read,” says Robyn Abels, Executive Director.

Batter! Batter! Pow! . . . and it’s out at the ballpark, folks! AMY is set to hit a home run with upcoming exhibition: Play Ball! Spring training has a long, lucrative and influential history in Arizona, dating back to at least 1909. Play Ball celebrates over 100 years of professional baseball in Arizona as it walks you through a professional baseball time line from the sporty, barnstorming days before statehood to the inauguration of the Cactus League in 1947, up to present day with 15 teams set to play the 2010 spring training season.
The interactive and educational exhibition will treat visitors to stories of the players, teams and ballparks that the legendary boys of spring experienced when working hard each spring in the desert.

Power Paws Assistance Dogs is providing a Summer Workshop for teens ages 13 through 17 at their facility in Scottsdale. The program runs from May 31, 2010 through August 5, 2010, Mondays through Thursdays, 9 am – 2pm and is provided in 2 week sessions. The Workshops will be held at 1205 N. 85th Place, Scottsdale, AZ 85257. Classes are limited to 10 students per session.
“We’ll work with assistance dogs in training, in a fast paced, interactive class that will give students the basics needed to train assistance dogs and diabetic alert dogs. We’ll even be teaching the dogs to read,” says Robyn Abels, Executive Director.

Power Paws Assistance Dogs is providing a Summer Workshop for teens ages 13 through 17 at their facility in Scottsdale. The program runs from May 31, 2010 through August 5, 2010, Mondays through Thursdays, 9 am – 2pm and is provided in 2 week sessions. The Workshops will be held at 1205 N. 85th Place, Scottsdale, AZ 85257. Classes are limited to 10 students per session.
“We’ll work with assistance dogs in training, in a fast paced, interactive class that will give students the basics needed to train assistance dogs and diabetic alert dogs. We’ll even be teaching the dogs to read,” says Robyn Abels, Executive Director.

Executive Chef Jeremy Pacheco has created a fabulous three-course dinner for $39 offered Monday through Thursday featuring starter choices of tortilla soup with roasted chicken, avocado and a crisp tortilla; Hermosa salad with baby greens, candied pecans, Maytag blue cheese and pomegranate vinaigrette; or crispy calamari with red onion, baby squash and citrus aioli.

Play Ball celebrates over 100 years of professional baseball in Arizona as it walks you through a professional baseball time line from the sporty, barnstorming days before statehood to the inauguration of the Cactus League in 1947, up to present day with 15 teams set to play the 2010 spring training season.
The interactive and educational exhibition will treat visitors to stories of the players, teams and ballparks that the legendary boys of spring experienced when working hard each spring in the desert.
