Adults of all ages and faiths are invited to learn more about CBS by attending this meeting. &lt;br /&gt;CBS is an interdenominational, non-profit organization whose mission is to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ through caring, in-depth Bible study available to all. The Hannibal area condensed class is one of more than 500 adult classes throughout the United States and overseas.&lt;br /&gt;In its 7th year, the local class presently has women and men from various denominations and churches in Hannibal and surrounding communities in Missouri. 			<description>North side of historic Carthage Square &lt;br/&gt;Friday, September 10, 2010, 1&amp;nbsp;&amp;ndash;&amp;nbsp;7pm &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Ford Motor Company and Carson Ford are partnering to help raise up to $6,000 in support of Illini West High School as part of the Drive One 4 UR School program. Members of the local Carthage community will have the opportunity to raise money for Illini West by test driving a Ford vehicle. The one-day event takes place on Friday, September 10th at the north side of historic Carthage Square during the homecoming parade festivities. Ford Motor Company and Carson Ford will donate $20 to Illini West for every person from a unique household who test drives a 2011 Taurus, Mustang, Fusion, Focus, Fiesta, Escape, Edge, Flex, or F-Series. 			<description>Mark Twain Boyhood Home Garden &lt;br/&gt;Saturday, September 11, 2010, 6&amp;nbsp;&amp;ndash;&amp;nbsp;9pm &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The Mark Twain Boyhood Home &amp;amp; Museum is pleased to announce Dinner Under the Stars, to be held on Saturday, September 11 in the Boyhood Home Garden. Gates open at 6 p.m. with serving beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event will benefit the Museum&amp;#8217;s &amp;#8220;Music Under the Stars&amp;#8221; concert series held each Thursday evening between Memorial Day and Labor Day.&lt;br /&gt;Music-Music-Music will provide the musical backdrop. The band features Glenn Cornelius on vocals and lead guitar; Bill Cornelius on bass guitar and vocal; Tommy Williams on saxophone; and Ronn Pashia, bandleader, on drums and vocals.&lt;br /&gt;The cost of the evening is $50 per person or $90 per couple. Adults of all ages and faiths are invited to learn more about CBS by attending this meeting. &lt;br /&gt;CBS is an interdenominational, non-profit organization whose mission is to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ through caring, in-depth Bible study available to all. The Hannibal area condensed class is one of more than 500 adult classes throughout the United States and overseas.&lt;br /&gt;In its 7th year, the local class presently has women and men from various denominations and churches in Hannibal and surrounding communities in Missouri. 			<description>Culver Stockton College&lt;br /&gt;Science Center, Room 208&lt;br /&gt;Canton MO &lt;br/&gt;Thursday, September 16, 2010, 7:30pm &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;With goals of education, inspiration and fun, this talk will focus on a number of famous chemists and will reveal their various personality characteristics and scientific behaviors.  Through the use of photographs of famous chemists taken during the last 90 years, the role of various personality and societal factors will be discussed (for example, ego, pride, sincerity, roots and tradition, family, collaboration and competition, social consciousness, and humor).  A key part of the presentation will be a video entitled &amp;#8220;In the Pursuit of Discovery.&amp;#8221;  This network quality documentary features three eminent chemists and reveals the essence of their personalities: the late Derek Barton, Carl Djerassi, and Koji Nakanishi.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This presentation is free and open to the public. It is also a part of C-SC&amp;#8217;s Academic and Cultural Events program.
