Family Storytime at the Medford Library

The staff of the Medford Branch Library invite all families to join them for an evening storytime at 6 p.m. every Monday in the Children's Department at the Central Library.
The storytime is geared towards kids 2-6 and will feature stories, music and finger plays. Older children may enjoy the program as well.

The Ashland Children's Library has added a new story time at 6:30 p.m. Mondays to allow working parents to participate with their children and kids are invited to wear pajamas.
Storytimes are geared for toddlers and preschoolers and last about 30 minutes. There are also story times at 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays at the Ashland Library for the early birds.

Sen. Bates Holds Town Hall Meeting

State Sen. Alan Bates, D-Ashland, will hold two town hall meetings the week preceding the opening of the 75th session of the Oregon Legislature. The meeting will be held in Medford on Monday and Ashland on Wednesday.
The Medford meeting will be from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Medford Library, the Ashland meeting will be from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Ashland City Council Chambers, 1175 E. Main St.
Bates will be joined by state Rep. Sal Esquivel, R-Medford, at the Medford meeting and Rep. Peter Buckley, D-Ashland, at the Ashland meeting.
