If you have answered YES! NV Medicare SHIP is looking for a few good volunteers to join with other volunteers in assisting Medicare beneficiaries. Volunteer on a level and schedule that meets your interest, needs and skills.

Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions needs mature adult adoption counselors to volunteer on weekends at any of our three Petsmart locations; 5915 S Eastern Ave, Eastern and Russell; 1261 S Decatur Blvd, Decatur and Charleston;1321 W Craig Rd, Craig and MLK. Our busy team of committed volunteers adopts out over 50 cats/kittens per month. We have re-homed nearly 1,600 cats/kittens since our inception in July 2007. Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is an advanced traditional Chinese meditation system designed to improve mind and body through slow, gentle and smooth exercises. You can learn the 5 exercises of Falun Dafa at the Desert Breeze Park. Look for us under the trees right next to the children’s playground on Spring Mountain Rd. just below Durango Rd. There are no prerequisites and beginners are always welcome. At each site, there will be somebody who will teach newcomers the complete set of exercises, you simply need to let them know that you would like to learn. Don't be shy, if you get there late, and they have already started, just walk up to the group and join in. It's a good idea to bring something to sit on in case the grass is wet, usually a towel or an exercise mat is OK. The fifth exercise requires sitting down for quite some time, if you have difficultly with this you may bring a chair. Most practice sites will meet all year-round, even in rain or cold weather, however, it's best to verify by calling the contact person beforehand.

On September 9th Loews Lake Las Vegas will team up with DonorsChoose.org at the exclusive Golf Club at SouthShore for the hotel’s Third Annual Charity Golf Tournament.

Loews Hotels’ is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Good Neighbor Policy. The event kicks off with an 18-hole, 4-person scramble golf tournament, followed by an awards barbeque and silent auction. Entry into the tournament is $150 per golfer or $650 per foursome, and is limited to the first 144 entrants.
