<gc:notes type="string">We are USA Dance of North Central New Mexico, one of over 164 amateur ballroom dance chapters across the country. We sponsor dance parties every 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, providing a place to practice and learn ballroom dance, starting at 6:00pm with a mini lesson on the 1st Sunday of each month.

In many ways, dance is a complex activity. It's not just purely physical it can challenge your mind as well as your muscles.

How might ballroom dancing help the brain?
Increased blood flow to the brain, less stress, depression, and loneliness from dancing's social aspect and mental challenges.

Muscles Worked
New ballroom dancers may feel muscles they didn't know they had. Ballroom dancing works the backs of the thighs and buttock muscles differently from many other types of exercise. Dance is a weight-bearing activity, which builds bones. It's also "wonderful" for your upper body and strength.

In other words….dancing is great for your health and well being.</gc:notes>

Included are paintings, prints, drawings and sculptures from the artist’s own private collections as well as selections from the IAIA Museum collection. A members-only preview on July 18 will open this exhibition to a privileged few. The public opening on August 20 will serve a dual-purpose as the unofficial kick-off to 2008 Indian Market festivities as well as the opening reception for IAIA’s annual benefit dinner and art auction, to raise needed funds for student scholarships.</gc:notes>

<gc:notes type="string">In the past decade, New York based, Concertante has acquired a sheen, warmth, and polish only a few ensembles ever achieve. Comprised of a core of six virtuoso string players, Concertante performs in varied combinations of instrumentalists (i.e. string sextet, and string octet) in a wide array of repertoire ranging from works by established masters to less commonly performed composers. As solo performers who have won major national and international music competitions, they have appeared in such major venues as New York’s Carnegie Hall, London's Royal Festival Hall, and Shanghai’s Grand Theatre.</gc:notes>
